Twilight Night Crit:
Well Rish and I left Newark Friday morning for a little drive down to a little town called Winston-Salem to stay with Mark Hekman for 2 days of Racing in the NC

Mark is house sitting on a farm, and it’s pretty amazing, if Rish didn’t have a ‘Job’ we wouldn’t have left, seriously.

So the Night Crit sucked, that’s all there is too it, I had some horrid stomach problems, I think acid reflux and I need my Gaul Bladder out, for real, this is not cool at all…….There were a bunch of Pro’s at the race as well so there was nowhere to hide, oh yeah and it was at night…..NIGHT!?!?!?!? It’s a BIKE RACE!!!!!!!

Rish got a flat at the wrong time, and Mark Changed a wheel and they let him out of the pit into a charging field with 5 to go (AT NIGHT!!!!!!) on the wrong side of the course, so of course some guys hit him, hard, at about 40 mph, thankfully he was OK, but some other guys got pretty banged up…..I am still not sure what the wheel pit was doing on the side of the course……The race was put on very well, everything was great (aside from it being at NIGHT!!!!!) but the officials made bad call with how they let Mark back into the field…….have you ever got everything right then just screwed up on little easy detail, Like pack for a trip to the beach, get everything you need, double check everything twice, then get in the car and go and by the time you get into the next state you realize that you left your coffee on the roof 200 miles back? Yeah just like that.

This one hurt bad. But not as bad as Tim Swain's crash. I was feeling great the whole race, but I broke a spoke with 5 to go. When I was getting pushed in from the wheel pit I got t-boned by some guy going really fast. It hurt bad and I complained constantly for the next 27 hours, until I heard about Tim Swain and then I shut up. Get better soon Tim.
