I paid $25 for this.

But I did beat Mitch.

Time of 48:36 warranted 10th in the cat 4's, though I actually registered as masters 40-44, so I was listed as 2nd (Mitch, you should have used aerobars!!!). I was happy, considering the riding has been sparce and I had just finished building the bike the night before, and ridden it maybe a mile to test the fit.

I'm never going to do some stinking time trial in windy conditions again without some dweeby handlebar modifications. The penalty is just too big, I guess. I hoped my fancy SHC wind-booties would suffice. Alas and alack, I was wrong. Then I'm going to get some carbon fiber HED wheels. Then I'm going to get some tear-drop shaped helmet that looks like I was born with an extra occipital lobe, complete with integrated lexan welding shield in the front. And a skinsuit. Gonna shave my arms. Wear a neoprene bota on my back 'stead of water bottles. Then you'll see.
