Started a nice break early and we had a good gap until the guy at front went down on a slick corner. Felt good otherwise but got outdone by some pretty impressive tactical riding. One guy went off the front on his own and won from way out. Other team mates stopped the pack from getting any kind of momentum despite trying to pick up the pace on multiple occasions. Put alot of effort into the chase over the last 2 laps but not much to show for it. Managed to keep a bit back for the sprint... happy with my first cat 4 race!

Tried to go to the front twice early on but could tell I did not have the legs to get away. Set in the back for the rest of the race. Moved up to 9th after my mediocre sprint.

Couldn't put a break together today. Tried a all or nothing attack in the last mile. Hill wasn't big enough and the teams that sat on the back all day had legs left for the sprint.

The fast kids were not letting anything stick and after 2 laps I knew I didn't have the legs to get in a move with said kids. So I sat in and put myself in a good spot at the finish. 2nd place on the road at 500m, then blew up and got passed by about everyone. Team Hungry kicked our butts, then handed out cupcakes so everyone was happy.

With 200M left in the first CAT 5 peloton I did not have the legs for a good sprint & was slowed down with all the chaos (one rider went down and almost took out a few more and I did not want to be next). A lot of the riders did not want to work with the wind and made the other riders pay but that's racing I guess. It was a solid outing and picked up some great racing tips from Braveheart and Real Deal on the way out.
